Very very upsetting customer service

I have been with Fido for over 10 years to realize it means nothing. It was my first and only cell phone company that I ever used. Now, I am disappointed at how bad the customer service  treated me over the phone with sarcastic comments very skillfully covered up. Seems to me that Fido really wants to get you on the hook of a contract. I finished my contract and decided to not sign up for another one but to buy a new phone. My phone plan was reduced to a "special" plan. When I called to FIdo last time, clearly explaining the situation, an agent at first said that I will be getting a "special" offer: a discount of $116. How nice, taking in consideration that those are my Fido dollars accumulated over the years. How is it special? Then the agent said that he will not give any discounts simply because I am not on a contract and I can leave any time, and company will not make any money of me. At first he tried to deceive me, then he was rude and full of sarcasm, and after he was awfully ready to cancel all my services threatening by "you will loose those Fido dollars" when at first presented them as "special long term discount".  I have been with Fido for a very long time. My entire family switched to Fido because before I was under an impression that being with a comapy for a long time means somethimg. Wrong, unless you are on a contract. I always recommended Fido to my friends and insisted on my family choosing Fido because I always heard "I hate my TelCo" and Fido was reasonable to deal with but not anymore, unless I will sign another contract. Now I will need to apologize to all those people who switched because of me.
